Job Description

Pay Rate: $17.19 - $21.49 per hour

Loan Servicing/Post Closing Coordinator is responsible for the post-closing process on all funded mortgage  loans, collateral tracking of all recorded documents, title policies and final HUD/Settlement statements. Review all mortgage loan files for compliance, Fannie Mae and FHA/VA & investor lending guidelines; responsible for performing duties that include consumer loan research, loan corrections and loan alterations as need via the servicing fulfillment queue as well as member and staff inquiries. In addition to, identify any missing document signatures, imaged loan files and shipping copy packages to an outsource mortgage servicer and/or investor.    

Responsibilities:

  • Process post-closing on all funded real estate loans, collateral tracking of all recorded documents, title policies and final HUD/settlement statement. Review all mortgage loans for compliance regulations. Images loan documents, shipping barcoded copy packages to outsource mortgage servicer and/or investor for purchase.

  • Processes consumer and mortgage loan (including Heloc) corrections or alterations. Responsible for processing all collection related payments, transfers, Moneygram payments and posting loan recovery payments. Processes consumer loan extension agreements/deferments/MAP Program/loan modifications.  Works with sub-servicer (Cenlar) on member related issues and payment variances.

  • Follows-up on all missing Mortgage documents, settlement statements, Titles, etc. Contacts Member, Loan Officer, Escrow and Title companies as need to obtain corrected information. Review Titles to make sure previous liens are cleared and/or subordinated (when applicable). 

  • Answers general calls, escalated phone calls and must answer line for department. Processes all loan promotion transactions, including but not limited to skip-A-Pay.  

  • Pulling loan files monthly for auditing purposes for multiple compliance reviews.

  • Reconciles to monthly funding reports and MERS to ensure all loans are accounted for.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Loan servicing/Post Closer candidates with 2+ years of related work experience.

  • Experience in title, escrow, mortgage or financial institutions and knowledge of mortgage or consumer loan servicing documentation is preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable of regulatory and compliance related to TRID,RESPA and Reg Z.  Strong attention to detail and working with digital imaging/paperless environment.

  • Must have experience working in Mortgage Banking environment or consumer loan servicing.

  • Demonstrates sound judgment and tact in both internal and external consumer relations.

  • Proficiency in the operations of Word and Excel.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must have a high aptitude for detail work, research and problem solving.

  • Must be able to work with a heavy volume of work and several projects at the same time.

  • FHA/VA experience a plus.

  • Mortgage or consumer loan servicing related training or equivalent work experience.
