Job Description

Pay Rate: $17.19 - $21.49 per hour

Real Estate Post Closer is responsible for the post-closing process on all funded real estate loans, collateral tracking of all recorded documents, title policies and final HUD/Settlement statements. Reviews all mortgage loan files for compliance, Fannie Mae and FHA/VA lending guidelines; reviews and compares final HUDs with Good-Faith-Estimate to ensure all figures match funding documents for no high cost or any RESPA credits. In addition to, identifies missing document signatures, stacks loan files and ships copy packages to an outsource mortgage servicer and/or investor.                                                                                                                              

Responsibilities

  • Process post-closing on all funded real estate loans, collateral tracking of all recorded documents, title policies and final HUD/settlement statement. Reviews all mortgage loans for compliance regulations. Reviews and compares final HUDs to ensure all figures matches funding documents.  Coordinates Respa credits where there are HUD discrepancies within 30 days when applicable.

  • Follows-up on all missing Mortgage documents, HUDs, Titles, etc. Contacts Member, Loan Officer, Escrow and Title companies as need to obtain corrected information. Reviews Titles to make sure previous liens are cleared and/or subordinated (when applicable). 

  • Prepares loan documents in stacking order, shipping barcoded copy packages to outsource mortgage servicer and/or investor for purchase.

  • Pulls loan files monthly for auditing purposes for multiple compliance reviews.

  • Reconciles to monthly funding reports to ensure all loans are accounted for.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related work experience in Mortgage Banking environment. Experience in title, escrow, real estate or financial institutions and knowledge of real estate documentation is preferred.

  • Must be knowledgeable of regulatory and compliance related to RESPA and Reg Z. FHA/VA experience is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and experience working with digital imaging/paperless environment.

  • Must have a high aptitude for detailed work, and ability to research and problem solve.

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Real Estate related training or equivalent work experience is preferred.
