Job Description

Pay Range: $18.81-$23.51/hourly

Under the supervision of the IT Operations Supervisor, the purpose of the Help Desk Administrator is to provide 1st level IT support to the credit union via the Help Desk phone line. This role ensures that the Help Desk fulfills the expectation of being a must answer line and resolves 1st level IT issues remotely. The Help Desk Administrator also adds value by supporting the enterprise case management tool and facilitating IT’s internal workflow. The tracking and reporting on inventory management and IT department performance metrics will reflect current service levels back to the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary resource to provide 1st level IT support via the IT Help Desk phone line.
  • Support the credit union’s enterprise case management tool. Maintain the application and perform necessary upgrades/updates. Facilitate IT’s internal work flow process inclusive of delegating service request assignments and providing monthly reporting on service request completions and status.
  • Tracking and reporting on IT software and hardware inventory.
  • Lead resource for procurement of software/hardware requests for staff and supplies for IT department.
  • Tracking and reporting on IT department performance metrics quarterly.
  • Back up for processing the IT Operations production schedule.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year related experience; 1-2+ years’ experience supporting either systems or end users on a system is preferred.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting desktop hardware, operating systems, application software and peripherals.
  • Experience supporting end users on the proper use of applications or hardware.
  • Experience with documenting and writing technical procedures.
  • Experience supporting users via phone.
  • Resetting passwords, mapping network resources, adding printers and installing drivers.
  • Familiar with network connectivity, IP addresses, using remote desktop.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Troubleshoot & problem solve via phone.
  • Excellent customer service skills is a must.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or Electronics is required.
  • A+ Certification is preferred.
