Job Description

Pay Range: $15.21 - $18.90/hour

Under limited supervision, the Mortgage Sales Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Real Estate Loan Consultant team as needed. Provides a wide range of duties related to the day-to-day sales functions of RELC’s. Acts as the main facilitator for communications between the RELC and sourcing agents, members, vendors, and sales support.


  • Assists in management of RELC’s pipeline conducting follow up calls on loan files pending processing.
  • Assign new online applications to RELCs.
  • Distribute call lists to RELCs.
  • Assure all files are complete and moved to processing in timely manner.
  • Acts as liaison between RELC and Operations Department.
  • Ensures that members and Realtors are kept fully apprised of the status of their loan application through exceptional member interaction.
  • Provides a full complement of support and related resources, including assisting in collecting outstanding conditions, setup on urgent files, creating, maintaining and distribution of various reports and supporting new business development efforts of RELCs (e.g., attending, scheduling and organizing events).
  • Assist RESM in coordinating monthly sales meetings and mortgage seminars.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail, faxes to appropriate staff.

Job Requirements


  • 1-3 years of experience providing mortgage sales support. Experience supporting multiple loan officers.  Experience working in a financial institution.
  • Solid knowledge of: Grammar and spelling, Business writing style, Filing systems, Financial institutions and mortgage products and procedures, General mortgage guidelines.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as the ability to learn new software.
  • Type 50 words per minute.
