Job Description

Pay Range: $21.07-$26.33 Hourly

Under the direction of People Development (PD) Management, provides a broad range of People Development services in line with business objectives, strategic goals and PD initiatives. Serves as a business partner to leaders, team members and external third-parties on PD related items. Assists team members and leaders with understanding and applying PD tools, resources, systems, policies and processes in order to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance. Performs various administrative and clerical duties in support of PD processes, objectives, initiatives and operations (in particular, compensation, benefits, performance management, employment and other related areas). Prepares and maintains PD employment and other files, system records and information. Extracts and compiles data to generate reports and assists with review, analysis, audit and validation. Acts as back up support for PD functions as needed. This role helps to ensure that People Development's operations maintain proper service levels, align with organizational strategy and objectives, and stay in compliance with internal standards, procedures and applicable law. 


  • Provides administrative and clerical support including maintaining and monitoring records/systems (e.g., HRIS, Benefits, Performance Management and Compensation) distributing mail, filing, archiving, logging and tracking information, and coordinating PD related events/activities.
  • Provides exceptional service displaying tact, care and empathy at all times. Handles leadership, team member and third-party inquiries regarding organizational policies, procedures, and programs and/or guides them to the proper resource for further support.
  • Responsible for review and audit of PD related data including but not limited to Payroll, commissions, other compensation related data, benefits, HRIS information, etc.
  • Assists with administering our compensation and performance management programs and systems.
  • Compiles data and generates reports. Assists with evaluating and analyzing employee data, identifying and clearly communicating findings such as trends/anomalies.
  • Maintains solid understanding of organizational goals and initiatives, standards/policies, procedures and workforce compliance obligations. Stays up-to-date with employment related laws and monitors external human resources activities and trends. Communicates findings and ensures compliance to established procedures, standards/policies and applicable legal requirements. Assists in development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Back up support for other PD functions as needed (e.g., payroll and recruiting).

Job Requirements


  • 3 years directly related and progressive work experience within Human Resources (with at least 2 years HR Generalist Experience including benefits, compensation, performance management, payroll and recruiting). Experience administrating Paycom and Cornerstone systems is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of human resources concepts and practices as well as thorough knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws (including, but not limited to California).
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills is required. Must also be able to learn quickly and multi-task.
