Job Description

Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000/yearly

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Product Manager will drive new product development and product enhancements to meet the needs and expectations of our Members, Executive Management and achieve organizational objectives.  This role coordinates the development life cycle and manages aspects of the product life cycle from concept to new introduction, enhancements and end of life. Responsible for the key product message development, and management of product offerings, including the specific product requirements, features, and target markets along with an ongoing evaluation of products to be added, enhanced, refined, developed or eliminated.

The Product Manager serves as the expert on NuVision Federal Credit Union’s retail products, (consumer & small business checking, savings, money market, CDs, loans and digital products/channels) including customer pain points and how our products are differentiated from competitive offerings.

The Product Manager crafts the messaging and positioning for products; drives the product launch process to conceive and develop innovative products programs that drive demand; provide content and create sales enablement documents including data sheets, presentations and webinars.                                                                                                           


  • Develops and implements strategy to identify, create and enhance NuVision retail products (consumer & small business checking, savings, money market, CDs, loans and digital products/channels), based upon a thorough, quantifiable understanding of the competitive landscape, market space and NuVision Federal’s member base.  Conducts competitive research and analysis of new delivery channels and product feasibility. Continually refines Product Line to provide the best return in terms of member satisfaction, long-term company growth and technical solutions. Drives product quality improvements based on Member feedback and key performance measurements.

  • Responsible for successful implementation of product launches on time and within scope and budget. Working in collaboration with the Marketing team, drives marketing initiatives including planning, development and execution (e.g., branding, brochures, promotional material, direct mail pieces, advertising campaigns, etc.).

  • Direct responsibility for the product portfolio including pricing strategy and profitability, always maintaining credit risk within the parameters of our risk appetite, and objectives as stated in our annual business plan as well as Strategic Plan.

  • Responsible for tracking and monitoring of key performance indicators and the reporting and analysis of data.

  • Serves as the expert on NuVision’s retail products and is responsible for communicating product strategy to leadership and team members throughout the organization. Maintains a thorough understanding of the industry and its moving pieces to properly align products to deliver a sustainable competitive advantage that further enhances the NuVision brand. Assists in the development of staff and member education related to product and service offerings.

Job Requirements


  • At least five years of product management experience. In addition, product marketing or general marketing experience is required.

  • Financial institution experience including an in-depth understanding of consumer & small business checking, savings, money market, CDs, loans and digital products/channels.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

  • Customer/Member Service experience.

  • Project management.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of consumer financial products and services as well as a thorough understanding of the Credit Union’s member service environment and objectives.

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable law, regulations, compliance practices and Credit Union procedures.

  • General Knowledge of computers and computer software applications with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (including spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software).

  • Ability to develop and present strategic recommendations that would benefit the organization as a whole.

  • Must be able to coordinate, manage and guide multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and effectively through to completion.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders, gather requirements, understand intricacies (interrelation between members needs/wants, product offerings, legal compliance and system capabilities) and develop thoughtful solutions.

  • Technical depth, a mind for strategic product and positioning decisions, and strong proven ability to communicate both internally and externally.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong interpersonal and consulting skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent is required.
