Job Description

Pay Range: $16.68 - $20.85/ hour

The Relationship Consultant (RC) primary role is to originate loans, consult with members to identify needs, refer appropriate products/solutions, and close loans through various delivery channels. Under minimal supervision, the RC performs a wide variety of duties related to handling loans that include, but not limited to, originating all loans (including HELOCS) from Kiosks and various call lists, collecting all required documents, reviewing and explaining loan terms and conditions, referring Mortgage and Autoland and accountable for all follow up and timely funding of loans to ensure high quality member service is provided. In addition, the RC recommends and cross-sells other products and services based on the member’s needs and relationship profile, supports and promotes Remote Delivery and assists with processing all Branch/Call Center Service transactions as needed. This includes opening new accounts to support loans for new members and assisting with on-site branch coverage as needed. This position supports all of the Credit Union depository and lending products and works to achieve lending and other goals established by the Credit Union. RC’s are generally on the phone in a queue the entire day and responsible for adhering to their assigned schedule to ensure member service standards are met and exceeded. This role’s focus is the member experience and is expected to represent Nuvision Credit Union in a positive and professional manner at all times, showing mutual respect while working with and collaborating with others to build strong relationships internally within the organization and externally with our members.


  • Consults with members: Identifies needs, offers solutions, and follows up on any pending transactions. Holds conversations that matter with members either in person or over the phone.
  • Inputs, processes, and funds all consumer loan types: Closed-end Signature, LOC, VISA, Automobile, Personal, Toy, RV, HELOCS and Other Secured. Recommends other products and services such as ancillary products as appropriate from having conversations that matter with members.
  • Calls on various call reports to garner more business. This can be done during the work day and during scheduled call nights throughout the month.
  • Performs various duties including but not limited to: Opening all new Member Accounts; Savings, Checking, Money Market, Trust, Certificates, and IRA. Completes all appropriate forms such as Account Cards, Certificate Application and Agreement, Trust Application and Agreement and Certificate of Trust. Recommends other products and services as appropriate from having conversations that matter with members.
  • Performs a wide variety of account maintenance including but not limited to: changes of address, name changes, adding/updating account set up, adding/updating joint owners, adding/updating beneficiaries, closing accounts, processing deceased accounts and notary services.
  • Responsible to provide on-site branch coverage and Call Center Service support as needed.
  • Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities and Credit Union events such as: Car Sales, Open House and Open Enrollments contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives as well as department and individual goals.
  • Represents the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner.

Job Requirements


  • 2 years related experience with Nuvision or prior loan experience with a proven track record in meeting and or exceeding sales goals is required; 3+ years related experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of deposit, loan and ancillary products/services (Trust, IRA, certificates, loans, etc.) is required. Working knowledge of applicable law, regulations, compliance practices and Credit Union procedures is preferred.
  • Solid computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook and Excel), remote signing and ability to work and operate a webcam is required. Experience with Loans PQ (loan decisioning system) is preferred.
  • Proven ability to garner business.
  • Excellent phone skills including professional written/verbal skills and etiquette is required along with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen, understand, and anticipate member needs.
  • Must have excellent follow up with members.
  • Must have a genuine interest in helping members through Conversations that Matter and have an empathetic and caring nature. Must be willing to make a difference!!!
  • Notary required.
  • Must have NMLS registration.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
